Vintage US Navy BICORNE HAT Military

Vintage US Navy BICORNE HAT Military. I'm assuming this is a replica even  though the hat looks like it's really worn around the inside band. Also some kind rust or dark brown deteriorating of  under the cloth.
The hat is in really good condition with wear here and there except on the inside where it has definite wear.
This came from the house of a elderly military guy who had authentic military stuff everywhere so I didn't know what to think here but I really have to go with it's some sort of reproduction with the military button on the side.
