    Description

    This is a very rare very large Victorian 6 5/8" by 3 1/4" tall lidded pin cushion fabric and sterling box from a very old high end estate of much fine antiques. The box features green velvet fabric which has much wear. The pins inserting into the fabric have caused the saw dust filling to leak out. The sterling overlay is stunning and has a century of old tarnish some folks love. It reads MLP in script and 1906 on a front plaque and on back rim has a makers hallmark and reads sterling 259. All I can see on the sterling filigree is a very small crimp on one of the silver scrolls. This crimp is not a break and could easily be flattened by a jeweler if it bothered you. See photo. Weighs over one pound. Fabulous box selling in as found condition due to the velvet wear. The silver is very nice. Thanks for looking.
