    Description

    I purchased this set in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2009 from a store featuring handmade items from local artists. Mate is a type of tea that is popular in Argentina and it is steeped in the gourd and drank with a straw in Mati Cup Gourd.  This set has silver accents and is more elaborate than the normal sets you see all the time.  The Yerba Mate Gourd is 4" tall X 3-1/2"diameter, the Mati Cup is 3-1/2" tall X 3-1/2" diameter.  The utensils are 6" long.
