For your consideration today, I am offering this beautiful example of the satin chromed on brass Canon 50mm f/1.8 LTM M39 screwmount lens.  It is classified as a Type 3, manufactured between 1952 to 1953 according to Peter Kitchingman's book on Canon M39 rangefinder lenses based on its serial number s/n 87934.  This particular example for a vintage Canon 50mm lens, presents in a beautiful overall condition.  For a lens that is 68+ yrs. old, the overall condition is very nice!  The focus on the lens is smooth and the aperature detent clicks nicely on each f-stop.
The front lens element is free of scratches and there are perhaps a few specs of internal dust, and very very minor
oil present on the aperature blades from  my examination. This lens will deliver stunning results whether attached to your screwmount rangefinder camera or when used with an adapter on your digital body or Leica M mount camera.  The lens will accept Series VII filters as well as the standard 40mm filter.  An example of what this lens is capable of delivering in image quality can be seen in the last few pictures.  Your purchase includes an aftermarket plastic rear cap to protect your lens and the original chromed front lens cap which is not shown.  Please refer to the pictures for the general cosmetic condition.  This lens is very nice at 68+ yrs. old!
