    Description

    ;
    Antique Mother of Pearl Pin Cushion / Disc
    English * Circa 1850
    This lovely mother of pearl pincushion is round and both sides have hand engraved pinwheel designs with feathered borders. It has a rose/mauve silk cushion stuck with some tiny steel pins.
    This type of pincushion allowed the pins to be pushed flat into the silk "sandwich" around the cushion's edges so
    that it could be dropped into a silk work bag without snagging other items.
    The condition is excellent with an intact cushion and there are no chips, cracks or other damage to the mother of pearl. It's very luminous and it measures 1 1/4" in diameter.
    I stand behind everything that I offer and
    guarantee
    that it is exactly as presented.
    ** Full Insurance is included in the low shipping price for all of my auctions. **
